WISHIN Welcomes New Participants

The Wisconsin Statewide Health Information Network, Inc. (WISHIN) is pleased to announce new contracts with two key health systems: UnityPoint Health-Meriter Hospital and UW Health. Both organizations have contracted to contribute all data interfaces to and use WISHIN Pulse.

UnityPoint Health is based in Iowa and has more than 370 locations in three states, including Meriter Hospital in Madison. Meriter was named one of the nation’s top 100 hospitals by Thompson Reuters.

UW Health cares for more than 800,000 patients each year. The network includes six main hospitals in Wisconsin and Illinois in addition to a partnership agreement with UnityPoint Health-Meriter.

UnityPoint Health-Meriter and UW Health join more than 2,200 sites of care already in the WISHIN network in seamlessly sharing healthcare information to improve patient care.

WISHIN is Wisconsin’s state-designated, independent, non-profit entity for health information exchange. The growing WISHIN network connects physicians, hospitals, clinics, public health, pharmacies, payers and more across Wisconsin. The network is stronger with the additions of UnityPoint Health-Meriter and UW Health.
