WISHIN has teamed up with the Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) to support and help inform Aging and Disability Resource Centers (ADRCs) benefit determination process throughout the state. Through this work, Wisconsin aging residents and those living with a disability can find services and support through their local ADRCs in a much timelier manner.
DHS is supplementing the cost of WISHIN Pulse access for all ADRCs in the state. Dozens of ADRCs are joining WISHIN, especially after hearing praise from existing WISHIN participants. “WISHIN is really like a godsend,” said Ti-Mara Minefee-Tribble of the ADRC of Milwaukee County. “It cuts down on having to reach out to doctors. The information in WISHIN is super helpful.”
Minefee-Tribble says the data in WISHIN Pulse helps her gather health information that individuals might not remember to disclose. It is information that is critical to finding patients the right support and MCO. “I absolutely love (WISHIN),” said Minefee- Tribble.
“WISHIN is really like a godsend.”
More praise for WISHIN came from Kurt Svensson of the ADRC of Dane County. “We have found it helpful at the ADRC of Dane County.” Svensson says WISHIN assists with long-term care functional screens. “WISHIN helps with expediting us to get access to medical records and verification of diagnoses,” Svensson said. “When we need a doctor-confirmed diagnosis, the WISHIN system has been my first step to locate that. It reduces time needed to get medical records.”
