Trevver C. Buss, MD

Trevver is the Chief Clinical Transformation Officer for Sauk Prairie Healthcare. He has worked as a Full-spectrum Family physician in a rural clinic and at this rural hospital for 25 years. In 2002, he convinced his partners at Prairie Clinic to invest in an EHR and formed the Medical Technology Committee, which he has chaired ever since. Sauk Prairie Healthcare then asked Trevver to chair their own Medical Technology Committee and help guide both organizations through numerous implementations and upgrades. He has served in the role of Chief Medical Information Officer for both organizations. He has also overseen the adoption of Computerized Provider Order Entry, Physician Documentation, Ambient Listening, Provider onboarding, and prime decision-maker.

In addition to his roles as a full-time physician and CMIO, he has been a physician owner at Prairie Clinic, a rural 25 provider primary care organization with two sites in Sauk City, Wisconsin. There he has been in every Board leadership role.

For the last 3 years, Trevver has also been helping to negotiate contracts with payers, transform his clinic into one focused on Value-based Care, advance the clinic within an ACO, and coordinate the Nursing, IT, and Analytics staff surrounding quality and metrics accomplishments.

In his new role as Chief Clinical Transformation Officer, Trevver will help coordinate the transition of Prairie Clinic SC as it becomes part of Sauk Prairie Healthcare. He will also be the physician champion for their ACO and will continue the work of negotiating the VBC portions of contracts with multiple payers. He will be a representative to the Wisconsin High Value Network, a Clinically Integrated Network of Rural hospitals. He will also work closely with the Analytics department, Medical Staff, IT, and Senior Leadership to help advance the transformation of SPH into a data-driven organization.
