As CEO, Steve Rottmann brings a dynamic combination of leadership, technical expertise and a commitment to advancing health information exchange across the state of Wisconsin. Appointed CEO in January 2024, Rottmann is dedicated to fostering a trusted and secure network that enhances care coordination, improves patient outcomes and delivers tangible value to WISHIN participants.
Before joining WISHIN, Rottmann served as the Director of Information Technology at Oakwood Village, where he led transformative technology initiatives in senior living and healthcare. With a focus on innovation and operational excellence, Rottmann implemented systems that streamlined workflows, enhanced data security and improved quality of care for residents and staff alike.
Rottmann brings a wealth of experience from previous roles in K-12 education and banking industries where he consistently demonstrated a passion for leveraging technology to solve complex challenges.
A proud veteran of the U.S. Army, Rottmann credits his military service for instilling the discipline, resilience and strategic thinking that define his leadership style. Rottmann applies these values to build collaborative partnerships and drive impactful change in the health information exchange space.
Rottmann holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Strategic Management of Information Systems from Cardinal Stritch University, reflecting his commitment to lifelong learning and professional development. Outside of work, Steve enjoys coaching youth sports and being involved in other community activities with his wife and four sons.
